What a great article and great set of comments from an unexpected source - make sure you read the whole article. My guess is that his experience as Carter's UN Ambassador let him understand what this sort of dissembly and diplomatic vacillation was all about.

I hope so. Almost as good would be dismantling the U.N. altogether.
I like that Young said ''we'' instead of ''this administration'' etc.

Believe it or not as much as we want to deny it there are varying shades of Dim. Andy is at the opposite end of the spectrum from Dazhole and Hitlery and the like. But I think the story is a fake (Kidding).

I know - the man sounded great on the radio. Sadly, though, with all the other news, this item got buried.

"Sadly, though, with all the other news, this item got buried."By design. The presstitutes' unabashed dishonesty is really something to behold.
As to Andrew Young, kudos for his honesty--although he just ruined any chance to go on the talk shows....

I think he'd have gotten front page play any other time, but there really is too much info right now, and its probably playing hell with the process of laying out the paper.
I could be wrong, but this time, it seems it was an innocent burial deep in the paper.

Not only that, but the article was actually published in the "Communist Journal".

Re#12 True, however, with the UN being such a focus for the past four months, one would have thought to interview Mr. Young. Maybe he was. In any event, one only needs to witness the pressholes' coverage of the Anti-American/communi..er, "peace" protests. ;^)

The former ambassador said he didn't think the rift on the Security Council -- and criticism that the United Nations is failing to enforce its resolutions against Iraq -- would undermine the institution.
Wanna bet? And no that's necessarily a good thing.

Hell, sometime this week they had an article on antiwar protests, but it was buried. It was too bad, because there was a pic of one graduate student who I wouldn't have minded seeing in one of those "bunches of nekkid women protesting war" pics, LOL.

Heheh - I figured she probably needs to spend more time going to places where they film "Girls Gone Wild" and less time in graduate courses. One hates to think she'll miss out on all that fun while she's still attractive enough to enjoy it.

No, I don't think this would have rec'd much notice - a black democrat, who served in the Carter Admininstration is agreeing with President Bush.
He has strayed off the plantation, and this will stay buried. Mr. Young better watch his back.
