One thing that has been obvious in recent days is that Tariq Aziz has not been seen anywhere and has not been front and center before cameras saying the things that would gladden the appeasement French and German public opinion.

In the runup to this war, and unlike the Gulf War 12 years ago, Aziz has thus far been a very conspicuous no-show.
