discouraging covetousness

The only legal system that attempts "discouraging covetousness" is communism. In a free society, people are expected to want to earn goodies like the ones they see their neighbors enjoying.

To me, "discouraging covetousness" means not setting up a tax system designed to confiscate huge amoutns of money from the wealthy by force to "give" to the poor. In my opinion, our tax system promotes covetousness because the poor are encouraged ot believe that someone else has what "belongs" to them.

I believe Communism is the very height of covetousness, because Communism involves a violent revolution of the working classes against the rich, so that the "middle class" can own the "means of production."
