so Sonny...are you saying that there was a verifiable sketch, just that the cops wouldn't accept it?

since you seem to know the investigation....didn't the cops say initially that the trail was followed to the curb and then disappeared...meaning they thought Liz got into a car?...

the whole investigation got off on the wrong foot...

and then we had Dinse standing there telling us it was a "trusted" person in the community.....oh brother

but I don't understand why no trail could be found up the hill where Mitchell took her....no red pj threads?...no hair...?...did they even look up that hill?

There was a solid verifiable sketch, it is going to be the centerpiece of the probe into the mishandling of the investigation. There was a belief that she was placed in a car, because of the bloodhounds, but even that was just an assumption. One of the things that irked alot of people in the investigation, including the family, and now soon to be the people doing the probe, was that there was always a scattershot approach in respect to focus. It also appears that they simply didn't find the younger sister either credible, thought she was mistaken, but her versions directly contradicted the way the investigation was run. After the first suspect died, the police, still didn't want to look into other "drifters"(the family had repeatedly hired homeless people to do odd jobs) that the family used to hire, they continued on a couple of routes. There was a reference made to it being someone of importance (the reference of "pillar to the community") but that had more to do with the possibilty, already discredited without any reason too, that it might have been a neighbor. Personally, I have always assumed that when she was kidnapped, she was carried by the person, and the bloodhounds would probably be looking for her scent, not the actual kidnapper, not that the crime scene hadn't already been compromised by family doing its own search and other people walking around. I never believed, though the cops seems to have, that she just walked along with her kidnapper.
