I'm happy Sky News is the source of so many stories here on Free Republic. Whenever I go to the UK I watch Sky instead of BBC and others.

One plot foiled. How many to go?

They're fast with breaking news, but I'd usually go with the BBC for the full story.

It is currently approaching midnight in England. I would assume that they would plan for these devices to go off in the morning. Glad someone was on their toes!
Prayers for our British friends.

European men? Would that be Muslim European men, from Marseilles or Bosnia perhaps?

Police are not releasing any information about this at the moment, so I think this is something orders of magnitude more serious. I get the feeling this is going to be the first of many...

BBC have finally posted their story
Three held under Terrorism ActThree held under Terrorism Act
Three people have been arrested under anti-terrorism laws, after an "incident" near Gatwick airport. The trio, said to be European nationals, were taken into custody on Tuesday at Langley Green in Crawley, Sussex.
Sussex Police said that the arrests were made under the Terrorism Act 2000 but released no further details.
A spokeswoman said in a brief statement: "Police continue to deal in conjunction with other agencies."
She was unable to elaborate on the specifics of the incident, where exactly those arrested came from, whether they were male or female or who else was involved in the arrest operation.
A colleague refused to be drawn on whether the operation was connected to the airport although a Gatwick spokeswoman said the area appeared "quiet".
