You may have the right to ask rhetorical questions for any perverse purpose, but you have absolutely NO right to any answers.

What is your problem? Since when is asking a simple question 'perverse'? I have never accused anyone of anything and never demanded answers.

I cannot believe the number of FReepers that condemn others that question what is fed to them from the media. If I have to be silenced and follow the crowd, I might as well be a Democrat.

This is not really a matter of condemning others who question what comes from the media...

This is a matter of wondering why some folks take the most ridiculous minutia and turn it into a clear condemnation of the Smart family....clearly, most of us do have questions about this whole Smart event...

But some people have gone to extreme lengths to condemn the Smarts...honestly, there were those who were sure that because Ed Smart was wearing a clean shirt and tie, when speaking to the media after Elizabeths return, that somehow his neat appearance, no doubt, indicated that Ed knew all the details of Elizabeths disappearance beforehand...thats just ridiculous, and shows has desperate some folks are and to what exteme lengths they would go to condemn the Smarts...

And now that there are unsolicited requests from Entertainment venues for the Smarts to sell their story, there are some(not necessarily on FR), who are sure that Ed Smart arranged to have this whole event play out, in a deliberate attempt to make money from having a movie made...

And what is most shocking, is that too many Freepers, actually took the fact, that Elizabeth appeared to be a lovely, religious, well loved, smart, highly achieving young lady, and turned that around to signal, that of course, anyone who dared to be religious, and do well in school, and play a musical instrument, just naturally would want to run away with a crazy, dirty nutcase, for a change of pace....

There are legitimate questions concerning this whole Elizabeth Smart disappearance, and then there are just the rank speculations covered in mud...
