O'Reilly was on a roll last night. He must've been feeling his oats on St. Patty's day!

In 1998, Clinton passed the Iraqi Liberation Act which called for regime change, but decided to bomb Serbia instead. Daschle supported that resolution by saying the following: "Look, we have exhausted virtually our diplomatic effort to get the Iraqis to comply with their own agreements and with international law. Given that, what other option is there but to force them to do so? ... The answer is, we don't have another option. We have got to force them to comply, and we are doing so militarily."
That was then, this is now. Visit my thread on this topic - has e-mail addresses and phone numbers. Activism appreciated. Thanks.Daschle Supported '98 Regime Change

Daschle Then (1998) During the Clinton Administration, Senator Tom Daschle - now the Senate Minority Leader --lobbied for a Congressional resolution to take "all necessary measures" to respond to the Iraqi threat. At the time, a large number of U.S. allies opposed any U.S. military action. Daschle responded to questions about the need for action this way: "Look, we have exhausted, virtually, our diplomatic effort to get the Iraqis to comply with their own agreements and with international law. Given that, what other option is there but to force them to do so?"
Daschle Now (2003) Monday afternoon Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle abandoned any pretense of unity in a time of war, as he charged that President Bush "failed so miserably at diplomacy that we're now forced to war" and suggested Bush should be blamed for the deaths of U.S. soldiers as asserted he's "saddened that we have to give up one life because this President couldn't create the kind of diplomatic effort that was so critical for our country,"

Maggot mouth Dashole holds zero credibility in 99% of real Americans minds. He has let his racing mouth over-ride his skinny ass far too many times since 9/11, goodbye Tommy. If Tom Daschle can still be elected in south Dakota after these divisive, pro-globalist, anti-American comments, I will be amazed.
If he does get re-elected, it will prove that SD voters went for their own self-interest (pork) over the national interest.

If he does get re-elected, it will prove that SD voters went for their own self-interest (pork) over the national interest. On the contrary it would just show that the Dems still know how to FIX an election. Remember how a bunch of last minutes votes came rushing in from some Indian reservation when Jon Thune was about to become the next senator from SD.

I don't know about that. Bubba probably didn't even use one.

Daschle (S.D.) said he and other Democrats believe the administration is "rushing to war without an adequate concern for the ramifications of doing so unilaterally, or with a very small coalition." If it was a very small coalition, surely little Tommy would be at the head of it.

I agree that it would and
will be travesty.
He will get re-elected again, again, and again...mostly though, as Mister Baredog points out, because the DEMS have no compunction about fixing elections. We all remember how Thune was screwed and if he runs against Dasshole he will get screwed again.
Hate to be pessimist, but the people of South Dakota have had their electoral process hijacked by a 5'4" dwarf with a Napoleon complex. That is what is sad.

"I'm saddened, saddened that this president failed so miserably at diplomacy that we're now forced to war," Daschle said I'll be saddened, saddened when South Dakota voters finally wake up and throw this sniveling nincompoop out of office!

What would Daschle know about diplomacy? His very remarks exposes his heart. He's all for Tommy Daschle and he is taking a drastic risk, as an ego run amuck, if you will. He won't be around much longer. (Enter Hillery Clinton)
