A interesting source that I had not heard of. Appreciate the post.

Heh... I have plenty of bacon, so neener...
Thanks for taking what I said well.
I wasn't slamming the Native Americans who did what they could in preserving their status quo...
I was just saying that if Iraqis thought that threats of torture would blunt the
resolve of the USA/UK/Allies...they haven't read about how those sort of threats/acts
just never carried the day against the USA/UK/Allies.
I guess I'd tell them that lifting the defenders of the Alamo on bayonets simply make sure
that the battle of San Jacinto was a lot uglier than it needed to be.

This has been a concern since the dawn of time; but come daylight in Iraq, those who contemplate this sort of thing will probably reconsider or "go for broke and hope thay can". For one, if you are engaged in combat with an enemy you will have mixed feelings, e.g., at times some things bother you and at others nothing will bother you; psychologically, you are able to do different things at different times. Those who would commit such acts rationalize that they will never be caught....

Once they have finished, whatever remains will be buried in a pig sty." MM,
I think you're being a bit too forgiving here. I'd rather see what remains placed in the pig's food trough so that they would be "processed" into what they really are. ;-)

Luckily, with the exception of a small number of leftist agitators, most of us American Indians fight FOR America ;0)

If the Iraqis actually do this, the Americans should respond as did John Singleton Mosby when Custer started hanging Mosby's men - kill 10 Iraqi prisoners for every allied soldier similiarly treated. Sadaam and his inner circle don't care about cannon fodder. Their orders are carried out by a tight group of insiders. To be effective, the threat must be to crucify every officer of the "SPecial Republican Guard" we get.

or second, these nutcases in Baghdad are serious, which would mean they think can actually win the war. They must think they can win the war--otherwise they wouldn't be defying us. They're just plain irrational.
To: MortMan
"If even one captured soldier dies this way, you will be stripped naked, bound hand and foot, and summarily handed over to the wives, husbands, and children of those Iraqi citizens you have tortured and butchered. Once they have finished, whatever remains will be buried in a pig sty."
Anyone recall how Henry Bowman disposed of his enemies in
Unintended Consequences?

AHHHH, But if such a directive was issued and carried out, Iraqi soldiers might start shooting officers who ordered such behavior rather than face smiliar treatment themselves upon capture.
It worked with Mosby. Custer stopped hanging his men.

I really don't like the idea of inhaling radioactive particles of former Iraqis but its starting to sound better all the time.

In 1991 they said any downed airmen would be "eaten" --I'm serious...What we are dealing with here are people who do not use toilet paper. I'm serious.
Any questions?

kill 10 Iraqi prisoners for every allied soldier similiarly treated. Just their officers. They could care less about their "cannon fodder".

The Foreign Minister should be killed as a warning to anyone else who even thinks this way. Didn't the Canadians have a sniper kill at over 2500 meters in Afghanistan? Bet you the SAS can do them one better.

The result of a loaded AK-47 pointed at the temple of the voters. What? You mean you think they actually counted any ballots? More likely they threw them into the furnace and announced the 99%+ vote for SH.

"Give the wogs a wiff of the grape" come from? I think they need a whiff in about 36 hours.... I suspect it will be a whiff of something a mite stronger than grape. MOAB perhaps, JDAMs fer sure. Not to mention the Bunker Busters, in readiness for Saddam and Sons as we type.
