SADDAM HUSSEINS MILITARY WILL BE OVERWHELMED BY ALLIED FORCES
Common Sense Patriotism | 03/17/2003 | Livis_Dad

The USA led war with Iraq, or better stated the war with Saddam Hussein's military forces will be overwhelming and result in a seemingly unchallenged victory, I believe. The Iraqi People are tired of Saddam, as well as the military forces, which are aware of the devastating consequences of challenging the Allied forces.

We are liberating the Iraqi people from oppression, disarming a known Tyrant who has committed horrible acts of human desecration. Saddam has taken advantage of a population of great people and culture, a region massed with the fortunes of oil reserves and he’s ruled with an iron fist for his own benefit and belief. He has created over 100 Presidential Palaces over his 20 years of cruel dictatorship, over half of the palaces being built after the Gulf War in 1991. All the while the people of Iraq are in need of medical aid and food to survive.

He has purchased materials from trading countries for the use of creating weapons of mass destruction over his 12 years of deceiving the United Nations and the world, inappropriately hiding the purchases through secret trade deals and using the food for oil program as a front. See http://www.iraqwatch.org/ for more information.

He has openly defied the United Nations for 12 years. He expelled the U.N. Inspectors in 1998 for being too observant and the consequence from a former president of the USA was inconsequential. He has aligned himself with terrorists and supported their efforts through monetary contributions throughout his life and leadership. He is a menace to the world and more dangerous than the Al Quaeda network, Osama Bin Laden, or any terrorist regime known.

The United States People and Leaders are tired of waiting for Saddam to reveal his weapons of mass destruction to the world and are taking charge of the situation. We are joined by a group of people in the world who will not stand for terrorism and tyranny. These leaders of the free world will fully protect the sovereignty of any Democratic society, backboned on the beliefs of the United States of America, the greatest country on earth. The Countries Leaders who oppose this action of war against Terrorism or Tyranny are not looking toward the future of our children or the human race, they are focused on the near future and their judgment is not in the interests of the peoples future, it is in the interest of their political future or monetary gain. I thank God we have people in leadership roles around the world that are willing to sacrifice their political future and life for the future of the world populace and civilized progression. A crucial timeline in history is being made right now, and the outcome will be world peace.

This could be the start of the third world war, and the fear of what might happen or will happen, will only strengthen our resolve to do the right thing for the worlds people and the future of the human race. Regardless of what country or who will be against us, we will ultimately prevail in the name of freedom and peace.

Now getting back to the Iraq war, we will bomb select Iraqi military compounds through the air, ground, and sea based vehicles. Over 3,000 targets are programmed for precise destruction within 12 hours… it is difficult to imagine how much devastation will occur in a short amount of time. The ground forces will be authorized to move forward shortly after the confirmations of direct hits are tallied, and the Iraqi people will be freed. This war will be short-lived and last for no more than 25 days.

Saddam Hussein has been given a choice, stay in power and risk the lives of your people or remove yourself from power and go into exile. Any rational person would succumb and acknowledge the opinion of the world. I don’t believe that will happen, Saddam is either ignorant or he possesses weapons he believes will thwart the progression of our forces. Lets hope he doesn’t have any weapons that could accomplish mass devastation, but he could, he has been untouched with U.N. inspections for years. He might also count on other countries to deter the war with Iraq, North Korea could be readied to create that needed deterrence and agreements could be in place to start a war in Asia. Saddam could attack Israel directly and force them into a war, triggering other Arab Nations to defend Iraq. Saddam could also have terrorists throughout the world ready to create chaos on the start of war. We should expect anything, and be prepared for any attack from anywhere in the world.

Let’s all hope and pray this conflict will end quickly, without world war consequences.

Uh, I thought that was supposed to be what this war is about. If he doesn't, then we've been sold a bill of goods.

Yeah you're right, but I'll still hope he doesn't have or use any poison gas, or any W.M.D. to use on our forces over there.

I think we've been sold a bill of goods. On the one hand, he's supposed to have so many weapons of mass destruction that he could inflict serious harm on the continental US, and on the other hand we expect to obliterate the entire army in a couple days. How can both of those scenarios be true?

The same way Al Quaeda was easily defeated when engaged conventionally, but inflicted serious harm on the Continental US when they attacked us at the time and place of their choosing.

It is a paradox, isn't it? The simplest explanation is, "It's all about oil." That's not the correct explanation, but it is the simplest.

Well put my friend.

Attacking Israel would be the dumbest thing he's ever done.
Israel is ready to go and will take him out quicker than we.

They can't both be true, at least we don't know. We don't know what exactly he's got, we've found some things here and there and we know he has anthrax and other chemical agents, but he may have nuclear weapons and we don't know it. This is part of the reason we are attacking him, because we don't want somebody like him, who has proven his ill intent, if not his capability, to be able to hide his weapons of mass destruction. At least, that's what I have gathered so far on this.

Same reason that a mere 19 terrorists with box cutters could destroy the WTC and yet the US military was able to take a whole country, Afghanistan with thousands of such terrorists in training, with far far fewer deaths than on 9/11:

Asymmetric warfare.

Thanks, The way I see it if he does attack Israel then we have our Northern push for the heart of Iraq. Of course this would trigger a middle eastern war, and then we would probably be justified in taking out Iran and their Nuclear installations... whoops I spoke too soon.

There are tactics and devices that are devastatingly effective against undefended, stationary civilian targets, and are less so against an armed, defended, and rapidly moving, dispersed operation. Imagine the tactics and weapons used in the 9/11 attacks directed against the military formations we have in place, but while they are advancing rapidly on Baghdad. If the planes weren't shot down first miles from any target, they might take out a section of an armored column, but likely not enough to slow the overall operation, and certainly not defeat it.

Apples and oranges.
