Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle lashed out at President Bush on Monday, saying he had "failed so miserably" at diplomacy in the crisis with Iraq that the United States now stands on the brink of war.

Wasn't it Clausewitz who said " War is a continuation of diplomacy... by other means."? I paraphrase of course.

Daschle cannot know the outcome of this drama, it is approaching in the middle act, not yet the final.

The democrats best be careful they don't paint themselves as the anti-Bush, anti-war, anti-American party. They wil pay heavily next November.
