I'm very conflicted on this deadline thing. On the one hand, it would be most excellent if he did leave and no lives were lost in a war. On the other hand, if you set a time, 24,48,72 hours, don't you just telegraph when you're going in and give him one last chance to make mischief?

Heard one analyst say that the upside to telegraphing zero hour,is to accomodate the surrendering Iraqi troops. If they know exactly what time we are going in,they will not start getting out their white flags a day too early and receive a bullet in the head for their trouble.Interesting thought,but,I still don't like it.
