Had a conservative been in charge of Germany today
and a Socialist in charge of Spain, today we'd have
Germany joining the UK and US, and Spain opposing.
We know as much because the CDU shadow FM in Germany has said as much.

The real fault lines are not the nations themselves, but the fault lines between the Green+Red Socialists, who will do anything to oppose American power, and the true-Blue Conservatives and patriots of freedom.

In this regards, you can think of France as merely one Big Ithaca, NY ! :-)
