mark me disappointed,I'm ok that they don't agree but to wear shirts claiming Bush is a terrorist is over the top.

Fortunately I don't have the opportunity to throw out any of his books. He hasn't put out anything worth readings since "The Stand" and that was over 20 years ago. I lent that book to somebody about 10 years ago and never saw it again.
M-O-O-N spells ignorant moron.

I used to like Mr. King and have a house up there by him. I guess it's time to sell that for a profit before property values plummet in Sarasota since it's infested now.

King is a morally repellent idiot...loves to make Deranged Vietnam Veterans the central evil characters in many of his books...stopped reading him many years ago.
To: Tennessee_Bob
That's a shame. I was a huge fan, too.
To: proud American in Canada
Me too. He's never been the same since he got hit by the Van.

Dreamcatcher with dearth of gore and over-all creepiness, will debut Friday in theaters nationwide. When interviewed by Mike Thomas, Staff Reporter for the Chicago Sun-Times, King was asked:
THOMAS: It has to freak you out that movies based on your books might not be faithful to the original stories.
KING: Well, the only reason I'm doing these interviews is 'cause I liked ['Dreamcatcher']. I never would have done the interviews [otherwise]. My mother used to say, 'If you can't say something nice, don't say nothin'." And that's a pretty good rule to follow. But this movie is amazingly faithful to the book. I haven't seen it in the theater yet. When they were working on the end, they sent me a videocassette. It wasn't even a DVD. It was a work print. I looked at it, and when I finished it, I looked at my wife and I said, "I don't know how they did this, but it's my book to the corners."

For all his talent, King proves himself rather shallow. Like many a good liberal, their art is wonderful and full of meaning, but, for them, it's all pretend, for they know not of what they speak.
King visioned the Walkin' Dude, but in real life, he doesn't know the Devil when he sees him.
Betcha he's a xlintonphile.
The weak and lame endings to most of his books have been an indicator of the short circuits in his thinking, this is the proof.
Whatta dink.

Several area politicians, including Jan Schneider, Wayne Genthner and his dog, Percy, who all ran against and lost to Katherine Harris for a seat in Congress
Man, that is one smart dog, a politician and he ran for a seat in congress. Sit Percy sit. Good dem.

Well, hell. I was a huge fan of Stephen King. I don't have a problem with anyone voicing their opinion; however, Tabitha King's T-shirt expressing her view by graphically displaying an image of President George W. Bush's face with "International Terrorist" written over it, is over the top for me.
To: fight_truth_decay
NOOOOOOO! Not Stephen King!!!! I love reading him! Now, I can't buy anymore of his books :( NOOOOOOO! This is not fair.
To: fight_truth_decay
Hey Stephen King don't you get it either? Well time to Burn all your stupid disgusting books!

Well, now, that is it. I can't even keep the lovely collection I own. Matter of fact, I will have to find an address for them and ship the books back :( That is my response to their protest and DISGUSTING T-Shirt.
To: TLBSHOW
What the hell is wrong with them? Don't they know the LEFT can't read? I am only guessing; but I don't think I would be too far off by say 75% of his fans are the RIGHT. We read!

The van incident down by Kezar Lake (summer residence)..he was truly obsessed with the man who hit him and the van. He constantly was feeding the media with his injuries and how he wanted to purchase the van and destroy it.
Every day, I can hardly believe that I'm still alive because I was really, really close to just steppin' out altogether
I had also viewed him walking the same stretch of road . Traffic moves pretty fast on that major roadway (at least for Maine anyway).
Question to you: Did the driver eventually commit suicide?
To: fight_truth_decay
Steven King is a hack who writes disposable trash for the ignorant masses.

Oh, I did not need this.
I've been a Stephen King reader for decades. I knew he had his liberal looniness. (Though The Stand does contain the wonderful phrase, "crazier than a New York Democrat").
But here we go again. IN HIS BOOKS people encounter evil all the time, and consistently have to overcome it with force of some sort. BUT HIS COUNTRY is supposed to sit down, have goat's milk and whatever with Saddam, and all will be well.
Shambling idiot.
