But being an American, my primary concern is his foreign policy, which from our point of view has been exemplary. Fair enough?
The execution of said foreign policy has neither been exemplary nor has its execution.
In this way maybe Blair is Churchillian (as much as it pains me to call a Labourite after that great Torie).
Winston had his heart and mind in the right place (pun also intended) but his strategic executions were great failures. Gallipoli was his idea and it was a huge failure and he thought Italy was the soft underbelly of Nazi Europe and it was not. Both of Winston's failures delayed the ends of both World Wars.
