If reports from last week are to believed, when this thing starts the British Paratroopers are going to immediatley jump in and take Baghdad airport from the get-go.

I find that really hard to believe. Unless there is some coup being plotted, there is no way we're sending paratroopers into Baghdad right away. What I expect, and my opinion is worthless and usually wrong, is 3-4 days of really intense bombing, then the blitzkrieg begins.

Somehow, I don't see Britain risking thousands of casualties in such a move. They only have a 120,000-man Army, after all. But I'm sure they'll be in the thick of things, when the time comes.

That would be a suicide mission. It would take 3 days minimum to link up with them. No way to resupply with all the AA around Baghdad. Crazy. Not to be believed.
