You seem to be knowledgeable in things muslim, why do you suppose so many muslims have settled here in Michigan? The Detroit area seems to be overrun.

The Canadian border is porous (or was up to 9/11, haven't checked it out recently). From Detroit, we used to be able to drive across to Canada to visit the night-life, and come back and just have to wave our drivers licenses at the border guard as ID. So anybody who wanted to come across from Canada just had to look a little like somebody's license photo.

For a while there was a 3-4 hour delay, all is "normal" now. My daughter drove to Rhode Island and back two weeks ago, it took about 5 minutes to cross in any direction.
