I am curious to find out why some of my fellow Christians still recite the pledge of allegiance. When you "pledge your allegiance" to an inanimate object you are basically worshipping that object. Am I missing something here? Why do some of us choose to salute and break one of the most important commandments? Shouldn't our pledge of allegiance be to God, and not a piece of cloth? The pledge of allegiance to the flag basically states that we will (blindly) support the flag and the actions of our government without question. That is the very essence of what idolatry is all about! Please check out the attached article.

Sir, I respectfully have to take you to task for your post. If you can, please read the article "Flag or Cross" and give me an intelligent response as to why what the other minister is saying is false. And quote some scriptures to back yourself up. Thanks

I am not sure if I am doing this right - it is the first time I am posting.
I am a Christian and devoted to serving the Lord. But I proudly Pledge allegiance to the flag - because - that flag stands for the very principles that our forefathers found in the scriptures! Though many are trying to pull this nation down and drown those principles out - our flag represents the blood shed for those principles and for my commitment and prayers to uphold what this nation is to stand for. It does not contradict the Word of God - it is me serving the Lord in the land He put me - how blessed I am to be living here!

My father-in-law had some JW come to his house demanding he take down his flag. He told them he was proud of the flag, and proud of our nation. He would not take down his flag, and told them to please exit his property.
On the way out, they pulled down his flag, tore it, and stepped on it.
Some peaceful people of God, aye?
My father-in-law, a Christian, forgave them rather then pressing charges for their hatefull vandeliam against their "neighbors goods."
