Hey, a lot of students in the ROTC units at MIT/Harvard/Tufts are pretty fed up with all this nonsense and absurd propaganda the anti-war movement is spreading. We could get quite a few people active if we just had some prior knowledge about events. Let me know what's going on in Boston!

Well, it's too late to do anything about the appease-niks on Saturday, but I'm sure they'll be back sometime soon. There is supposed to be a big appeasement rally on the Boston Common on March 29th.
I am SERIOUS about the chicken costume & sound truck proposal, but I need some help putting wheels on it (no pun intended, of course!)
I am new to FREEP forums, and I am wondering if there could be a specialized forum to organize a proper response whenever the appeaseniks are on the street. In December, the appeaseniks set up a picket line in front of Wordsworth Bookstore in Harvard Square, and we had a well-organized phone tree which resulted in counter-picketers outnumbering the picketers! It worked very well: we would position two of us on either side of an appeasenik, and as soon as the appeasenik handed out a flyer, one of us would give the pedestrian our counter-flyer, saying "Please take a minute to read about the OTHER side of this debate" In most cases, we had the last word, and the appeaseniks finally gave up in frustration!
The appeaseniks seem to have the numbers on our side, certainly enough to pack Cambridge City Council meetings and pressure the City to pass idiotic anti-war and anti-Patriot Act resolutions. Those of us who love Freedom and love America need to be creative and well-organized. Just SHOWING UP, even if it's just a handful, is enough to send a message that the appeaseniks do not speak "for the people" , as their slogans often claim.
