Heh-heh! We are forgetting to ask if Mitchell has hairy arms! Judging by the photo montage of this man, he is a real chameleon.
It was said--Connie Chung, or LKL, or Greta--tonight that the intruder took his time while in the house. That he didn't seem to be rushing at all. That he almost seemed fearless about getting caught. Mitchell is such a psycho that I could imagine him thinking of himself as invincible, or almost invisible.
As for cohorts, some wonder if Mitchell was loaned Ricci's white jeep. I think Mitchell is too psycho to have gotten along with another man well enough to plan anything that elaborate with him. I think the only people Mitchell could get along with for any length of time were extremely compliant women and girls. Even the homeless men, to whom he attempted to preach, ran him off.
The cap has always been something of a puzzle. While that muslim-looking cap Mitchell wears is definitely not an "English driving cap," still, it does NOT have a bill. Mary C. may have been trying to describe that, and being misunderstood.
Mitchell was reportedly trying to kidnap Elizabeth's cousin, with whom she was close, to provide her with company and even cheer. This, to me, fits in with an action such as letting her get her shoes. No doubt about it, this Mitchell is one strange bird--solicitous towards his victim, yet clearly very dangerous at the same time.
BTW, don't know if you caught the shows tonight, but Mitchell's father said Mitchell was arrested when he was a teenager b/c he exposed himself to a 3-yr-old girl. Also, Mitchell's ex-wife said Mitchell's mother lived right down the street from Elizabeth's cousin who suffered the torn screen to her bedroom window. And Mitchell's step-daughter said he molested her from the time she was 8 until the time she was 12.
Angela Smart said that at one time, the 3 of them were in an audio store. Elizabeth was standing off to the side, and she said in a low voice, "I'm Elizabeth Smart." As the employee who'd heard her asked her "what did you say", Mitchell and Wanda drew a bit nearer, and Elizabeth said, "Nothing!"

Wow, that information is really something. I have read that Mitchell was always a bit strange, someone who went to school with him said he was disruptive, but she felt sorry for him, because he was picked on by the other kids. Members of his ward years ago said that he would always preach to them, and tend to turn people off. Something went really really wrong, I saw the tapes of him pleading from jail this evening. His stepsons said he heard voices, which is a sign of schizophrenia. I didn't realize that Mitchell's mother lived so close to the Wrights (Elizabeth's cousins.)
And I hadn't heard the story about Elizabeth in the audio store. I'm wondering if she did try to escape and was punished for it. Who knows? I have got to go to bed, I'm rambling all over the place.

What do you think about the story of may 31st where there was a long haired hairy man in the road of the smarts and someone in the house making some kindof deal with Ed. Story of the A/C guy? Could this long hair hairy man be Mitchell??
