That's a good recap of the sketches that I have heard about. Do you remember what Jeannie Boylan said about working in different mediums and some odd reference to "skin texture," as though MK had said that there was something distinctive about the guy's skin?

Yes. She was using clay rolled on pieces of carpet or something. People started thinking of acne scars. Boylan said Mary C. was a good sculptor for her age, and might produce a likeness herself. It was said that what Mary C. saw most closely was the back of the man's hands. (Who has acne scars or other "texture" on the back of their hands?) Then... nothing.
