This is really unfortunate - the bill includes an onerous 12-hour training requirement, and costs $45 a year. I'm hoping this will be able to be challenged once the Ohio Supreme Court strikes down the existing ban on concealed carry as unconstitutional, since it's established that licensing a fundamental constitutional right is forbidden, and that passage of this legislation won't moot that case.

Truth is, I don't mind the training so much. I don't actually like it, but can see good there.

I hope you are correct about the court. We have waited years while certian representatives slow-leaked this issue. If the Ohio Supreme Court voids the law completly, you will see the fastest action ever. ;)

Then we can hope for our guys to do the blocking!
