NOW is ..so, like
Then

"The Heretical Housewife"
If there was a way to further prove NOWs complete and total disconnect from most mainstream American womens lives, this past weekend clinched it. The post-menopausal, stringy-haired, thin-lipped angry radicals who make up whats left of NOWs fading membership joined forces with a group of hippies, yippies and wannabes called Code Pink in order to march in our nations capital against the looming war with Iraq.
Gillette would have been a good sponsor of this rally, which sported more facial (and other where) hair than a Grateful Dead concert. Or perhaps Breck shampoo, which could have been used on the untidy hirsutism. Or Dial, or Listerine, or
well, you get the idea.
NOW has been busy putting itself out of business since the ERA, but it really pulled a fast one during the Clinton years. For decades, NOW had been defining sexual harassment as an older, superior ranked man making the moves upon a young, inexperienced and impressionable female. Does this not sing, Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky to you? A classic case. Did the venerable NOW (fresh from the Packwood victory over dirty old men nationwide) defend the sexually abused Lewinsky? Mais non, mon amie! How droll of you to think so! Instead, Lewinsky (whose encounters, we like to remind our friends on the Left who aver that this affaire was private, took place while Messr. was at work, and in his office), was ridiculed as a brainless slut. Until - thanks to Matt Drudge - the infamous blue dress came to light.
One would think that this might have embarrassed the NOW dowagers. Another big non! Instead, these grim ladies pulled out all of the stops in order to save their buddy Bill, because of his reliable stance on late term abortions. Thats it, the NOW agenda - stripped of more lofty goals like equality and reduced to the right of every mother to kill her luckless infant right up to the day of his birth. That, and the right of every woman (or, weirder still, transgendered person) to have a relationship with the lesbian, or transgendered person of her choice. Or his, if she feels trapped in a womans body and feels the need to transgender herself, or himself, or itself
.
Funny, for ones so opposed to the manly concept of war, I failed to note the many NAGS on the march during Bill Clintons pathetic reign, when he was lobbing missiles at camels rears in order to distract the public from Monica. The I feel your pain feminine Clinton could not bring himself to use decisive action in order to stop the terror attacks of the day, which is no doubt why they increased. In fact, if one were to research it, one could easily find the picture (quickly repressed by the mainstream media) of Clintons panicked face - in Africa - when it looked as though the ropeline was about to be breached by the African masses. A moment in cowardice, if you will, which spoke volumes about his character.
However, that suits the suits at NOW quite well, since they like to be the dominatrix and wield the whip over the hapless, emasculated men who do their bidding. NOW could not bestir themselves to protest - or to offer counseling - when the tragic and pathetic Monica saga surfaced. In what could have been their finest moment, NOW failed - Monica, in particular and American women in general. In fact, far from helping this misguided girl, NOW was fully on board with the nuts and sluts campaign orchestrated, no doubt, by the cuckolded wife.
NOW is as old and tired as their faded, 70s era logo. No matter how loudly they shriek, they are becoming ever increasingly irrelevant. Todays feminine pundits are attractive, well spoken, educated on the issues and - gasp, conservative. ***

Ann Coulter, Laura Ingraham, Debbie Schlussel, Rachel Marsden, the Rightgrrls.... NOW doesn't even come close in the depth of female pundits to advance the liberal agenda unless you count the likes of Helen Thomas and Molly Ivins.

I hadn't thought about this before, but NOW has, indeed, become irrelevant. When there was an actual reason for 'women's lib,' they might have had something to talk about. There's nothing left for them, so they run around screaming shrilly about non-existent threats like the desparate shrews they are.

That is not the half of it. It is NOW's intention to detroy America by stabbing at the very heart and soul of American life - the traditional Conservative woman and the institution of marriage and family.
There is something serious demented and dangerous about a group of women who would reject an entire gender and everything masculine - the gender to which they owe every freedom the enjoy. While at the same time rejecting everything feminine as well - their ultimate act of rejection being the killing of 40 million children.
Much of the evil that this cabal of sociopaths have perpetrated on America is still to be realized and acknowledged.

Liberated from what? Oppressive men? Are these the same men who built a country were woman have equal rights under the law? Are these the same men who built a country so advanced that women were freed of the mundane and tedious work that was their responsibility, so that they could enjoy more opportunities?
The idea of "Liberation" is in itself a lie. It is a lie that many have bought in to. Nowhere in the world are women treated better, have more rights, and enjoy more opportunities. And this is because of men that they enjoy these expanded opportunities, not in spite of them.
The rejection of these facts is the utter betrayal of men by women.

you guys are right! I think it's hilarious that the Left is now on the side of those radically opposed to all they supposedly hate - those who oppress women and throw walls down on homosexuals.

I've overheard some conversations of feminists. They no more than a group of warped women
seeking to codify their prejudices. They should call themselves what they really are; KKK for Women.

Liberation for them is slavery for the rest. The left loves to play around with important words. When a group says that they are seeking justice, I generally feel thay are seeking a shake down. Peace means to torment someone else. Democracy means rule by (their) selected group.
