Can someone tell me what percentage of the Australian public supports the US?

The last poll I read (about 6 weeks ago) had Aussie support about 4% higher than U.S. support. Go figure. May've shifted by now though...

Just been in New South Wales ( Australia) for a week to attend a wedding. At the reception sat at a large table of caucasian graduates from Aus, New Zealand, South Africa and England. Everyone except me was against attacking Iraq without a 2nd UN resolution, even ex military people. Whilst i travelled around everyone i met from backpackers to shop owners expressed similar sentiments. there is no support whatsoever. Howard has already lost a vote of no confidence in the Australian Senate over this issue and the Resignation of David Wilkes from the office of National Assessment and comment from former Aussie leaders Dr Hewson and Paul Keating have further undermined public confidence. Both he and Tony Blair face imminent ladership challenges. In the case of Australia it is now quite possible that the Liberal coalition government could fall altogether.
