I have a story in Wednesday's Total Stack of Stuff saying that we're only one vote away from winning congressional support for drilling in that frozen, useless corner of ANWR. Ah, screw it. We'll just drill in Iraq. How about that? To hell with Congress and everybody trying to thwart human progress. I'm fed up with everybody trying to stand in the way of decent, good things happening.
For instance, I'm deluged with these e-mails on this absurd Exxon-Mobil boycott to supposedly bring down costs at the pump. It's just too absurd for words. If your objective is to drive down gasoline prices, you know how you do it? Get on with this liberation of Iraq. If you want to get your job back and return to a semblance of normalcy, then let's get on with this. If you're sick and tired of hearing from Bill Clinton, Tom Daschle, Dominique de Villepin, Kofi Annan and Janeane Garafalo, then let's get on with this. Let's just do it. This isn't a lust for war. It's knowing that every day we waste means more deaths later. We have to move.

You know we need that UN behind us.......
As Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell telephoned world leaders for their support, White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said that if the resolution fails "there's no question that the president would be disappointed."
Declining to specify potential repercussions, Fleischer said pointedly: "The representatives of Congress think about these things. In all cases the president knows that we will continue to focus on issues where we have united values or the other issues on which we will work closely. But I can't predict every eventuality."

I thought Limbaugh had a medical reason why he didn't serve. Next thing you know, you'll be complaining about GW's war record. Hey, how about Kerry's? What does any of that have to do with today's problem with Iraq?

ditto. Nobody should be compared to Clinton; that's worse than being called French.
