As the tours name implies, Lipton has signed on as title sponsor. Look for the Dixie Chicks to
star in a Lipton Iced Tea television commercial spot starting in mid-May and to be featured in
store displays promoting Lipton Teas national contest wherein consumers check inside their
package of Lipton Tea for chance to win a VIP event with the Chicks as well as Chicks CDs,
tour jackets and t-shirts. In addition, Lipton Iced Tea and Lipton Tea products from Unilever will
be sampled at all the U.S. Dixie Chicks dates. The Dixie Chicks partnership was brokered on
behalf of Lipton by Aaron Walton Entertainment.
"Much like the Dixie Chicks are redefining the traditional conventions of country music, we're
going to redefine tea and serve it up in a refreshing new way that's full of energy," said Virginia
Blake West, marketing director, Pepsi-Lipton Tea Partnership. "We couldn't have found a more
exciting association for our brand than with the Dixie Chicks."
