Iraq Orders Fast Rubber Boats for Suicide Operations

Iraq has obtained inflatible motorized boats from Yugoslavia for suicide missions against United States and allied forces in the Persian Gulf.

Western Intelligence sources identified the vessels as Zodiac-class boats procured from companies in the Balkans.

The boats were purchased by Syria and smuggled into Iraq for use by a new suicide unit formed by the regieme of President Saddam Hussein.

Suicide is right...a 50MM deck-gun can really eat up an inflatable boat (although I bet only the Coast Guard has those on their ships at this time; PT-Boats haven't been used for a while). Can any swabbies or bubbleheads set me right on that?

that quoted Hussein telling his people to swim. I said then that this sounded like some kind of code words for an organized attack. I hope somebody in our intelligence department is putting two and two together and no holding onto the knowledge for long.
 
I just see something here though I'm not a subscriber to this current article and couldn't read it all. Could be our ships at sea, could be blowing up bridges and blaming it on us or who knows what else.
