NEWARK -- A smiling Rev. Frederick Boyle returned from a three-week peace mission to the Middle East on Tuesday night to the glare of media cameras and a couple of parishioners from United Methodist Church in Randolph.

The pastor of the Millbrook United Methodist Church in Randolph sported a red, white and blue "CPT" baseball cap as he spoke to the press at Newark Liberty International Airport. The hat symbolizes the Christian Peacemaker Team, with whom the 53-year-old minister traveled from Amman, Jordan, to Baghdad.

"This wealth would be unbelievable to the people I met in Jordan and Iraq."

Jordan, yes, Iraq, no.

With their oil income, they could have a lifestyle comparable to ours. Unfortunately two factors prevent that: Saddam and the Islamic mindset.

We can do something about Saddam, but nothing about the Islamic mind-set, which has produced NOTHING but poverty, violnece, human misery, oppression of women, etc, WHEREVER it spreads.

Too bad the "Revered" turned coward and came back. We would have been better served had this lying hypocrit stuck around to face the fireworks as he originally intended.

What he found most remarkable, he said, was the ability of the Iraqi people to separate Americans from the American government.

Their mistake... we are responsible for the government and it represents us. Even bin Laden knew that much.

i.e., Saddam wanted to post me outside a munitions factory.
