I've had a chance over the last couple of days to talk to some foreign investors and let me tell you something: They're not big fans of ours, or me, for that matter.

Perhaps it was that wine that I ordered with the twist-off cap. I don't know. But this much I do know: These guys over there don't think much of us guys over here.

Neal gives the ungrateful masses of our so-called "friends" hell in this Common Sense article. I can find nothing I disagree with.

I concur. In addition, he also added at the end "You don't like this country, say goodbye to this country [and say goodbye to our $$$$].

Good editorial closing...

Atlas Shrugged, penned by brilliant Ayn Rand, presaged over a half century ago exactly the kind of worthless Socialist parasites presently feeding on the productive capitalist American hosts.

The next time someone disses Rand, remember she is mortal enemy number one to the Communists.

If you've not read her work, you don't understand the world.

Warning to jacka@@es who flame this post - I'm on you like an A10 Warthog on an Iraqi.

You have to be pretty dedicated to read Ayn Rand. She can make a one-minute argument in to an hour-long sermon. You are definitely right about her being the arch-enemy of the socialists, however. She and Friedrich Hayak should be required reading in every school in any country which claims to operate according to democratic (how I wish certain people had not soiled that word) principles.

But if you will notice, our schools tend to teach rather the opposite. Our most dangerous enemies are not outside the country.

I agree totally with Neil but our problem is in Congress and the DOPEs. They are up there trying to divide and conquer while Rome is burning.
Partisan Politics are destroying America and the Democrat Obstructionsit are behind it all.The Schumers,Kaputs(Kaptur),Pelosi's,,Kennedys,Dodds,Leaky Leahys,Murray's and this last idiot whose name escapes me that is castagating the jews and claiming they are controlling America and the war with Iraq.
Isnt it funny how the Democrats rant and rave when a Republican makes a slip of the tongue and demands their ouster yet this two faced slime cover for their own and the so called "Mainstream Media" is silent when it comes to the dopes.
We are being steadily brainwashed in America and it is high time for another Revolution, political or otherwise.
I am not a Republican so therefore I have decided to stand and fight instead of turning tails.
Hell the French are not the only cowards in the world, Congress is loaded with them.

I believe that would be Representative Jim Moron (and yes, I am aware of how I spelled it).

I don't understand Ayn Rand, and it's not for lack of trying. (I've read both Atlas Shrugged and the Fountainhead.)

And here is why: She was an atheist, and no objective, absolute morals can be ordained by Science alone. It seems to me that she never advanced a cogent response to one of her own characters, Cuffy Meigs, who said: "In the long run, we're all dead."

Plus, reliance on Science alone must lead to the conclusion that all actions are simply the result of cause and effect, that is, chemistry and physics, in the end. There is no free will under Science. It is pure determinism. If a person has no free will, then there can be no morals at all.

If anyone can provide a link to Rand explaining why her "objectivism" shouldn't lead to pure determinism, I would be must appreciative.

Attempts to fog the moral clarity of Rand are futile.

The greatest threat to humankind is Left-Wing Socialism.

Choose sides.

Being dedicated to personal freedom and liberty is the very definition of America.

Those unwilling to participate in defending it don't deserve its rewards. Parasites.

The moral fog of Socialism/Emotionalism/Hollywood Fakism/Liberalism are our greatest enemies.

I really like Ayn Rand, she writes well (if a little long). But I was wondering if her love of margarine makes her arguments invalid?

And what about the key character in the Fountainhead, the bus driver who smiles at her?

What of that? What is the meaning of that smile?

Have I lost the point? What point?

"[Atheists] do believe in scientific determinism -- the unbreakable sequence of cause and effect, and that is predestination. It is the assumption all laboratory workers make and it rules out free will. Any present state of fact, any action taken, is the inevitable outcome of a series of events going back to the Big Bang that produced the universe." Jacques Barzun, "From Dawn to Decadence."

Where is the flaw in this? It seems to me to be a far more demonstrable truth than Rand's "objectivism."

And I don't see how quantum physics and the randomness therein invalidate it, because quantum physics has no application beyond the sub-atomic level.

"Warning to Saddam.

Disarm, or we'll disarm you."

Geez, is Bush lacking confidence too?

I didn't realize the fallacy that confronting one's enemies is really just weakness.

Thank you for your valuable contribution to this day.
