"Where in the world did you get the impression that Buchanan is a "patriot"? My definition of "patriot" is NOT someone who tells us we should have minded our own business during World War II."
I understand the spirit of this; but my perception of Pat is that he is deeply patriotic, despite the misguidance of some of his Sobranian Notions.

I just don't like Pat any more. I haven't liked him since he stabbed the GOP in the back, and tried to help Gore get elected.

Bring up immigration and border enforcement, and he is right-on-the-money. But as for intervention, global trade, etc., he is as isolationist as they come. His ideas would work in an ideal scenario, but they are not really practical.

If patriotism means closing the border to imports so that we have
no choice but to buy from American companies that would henceforth
be totally unionized and not allowed to operate offshore, then Pat
is patriotic.

Hitler was a "patriotic" German, but a moron. Pat is not a Patriot. His ideas would end this country. He is a big mouth fool who is full of himself. He has no place in the conservative movement. He is a better fit for the Dems.
