When I was a newspaperman covering Operation Desert Shield/Operation Desert Storm, I often wore desert camouflage *chocolate chip* fatigues with a nametag for our flagship newspaper, [located in Knox County] where the *U.S. Army* tag was for most of the troops. Since the space for characters was limited to 16 characters, it had to be abbreviated to read *K.C. Daily News*
Hey, if the press office folks thought it was a Kansas City newspaper, that wasn't my problem. I was going to cover the Turks' entry from the north into Baghdad anyway, as in that war, the Turks were certainly on our side.
