And, while the City Council doesn't have to listen to non-residents, my personal belief is that anyone who lives elsewhere but works in the city, OR...anyone in the entire United States who donated money, time, or simply their sympathy and good wishes to NYC after 9/11, has a perfect right to pick up up the phone and dial the Speaker, Gifford Miller.
If any of you are so inclined, please do it today.
Over 100 cities have passed these stupid antiwar resolutions. If the ANSWER/United for Peace and Justice/MoveOn/"Not In Our Name" crowd actually succeed in adding New York City to that list, then they've really bagged the big elephant, haven't they?
PLEASE make some noise about this.
