I was passing by Gale Brewer's office so I decided to go in an register my opposition to the resolution. Their reaction was, "Oh, sure, there's a petition to sign right over . . . did you say AGAINST?"
That's the Upper Left Side for you. I was probably the first loyal American to pass that way in lo these many years.
Thanks for the handy dandy list, hell. I will be using it.

And here's where it gets hilarious. About an hour ago on FOX, I heard Shep Smith talking about the very latest NY Times poll that said 55% were in favor of military action against Iraq even WITHOUT UN APPROVAL. About 67% in favor on the general question "Do you support military action against Iraq" with the UN being mentioned.
I almost called Miller's office back to refer them to this poll, and then I thought: Naaaaaaaaaaahhh...
I mean, if you can't trust the City Council to read the NY Times on their own, hell widdem. Part of me actually wants to see them hang themselves tomorrow.
But it is ironic that my ONLY hope for the defeat of this resolution rests with---the New York Times. These are strange days indeed.

Thanks for the handy dandy list, hell. I will be using it.You're welcome, but it's copied right off the NY City Council members page.
So if you lose it, it can be found again. :)
