I guess there is an unwritten law about leftist whacos criticizing other left crazed whackos. If there was oil exploration on the property, it would be another matter, regardless of how pristine it was kept.

Here's the real score, friends. Fort Huachuca, a critical border Army installation in southeast Arizona (Cochise County) could very well be closed in the next Base Realignment And Closure (BRAC) due to environmental concerns about its effects on the local environment and water usage.
However, the extremist environmental groups who have worked for years to try to shut this critical Army installation down haven't said a thing about the million or so illegals who pour over the county, sucking up the water and trashing the desert, and causing immeasurable environmental damage. Instead, they complain about the Border Patrol's enforcement activity and how their off-road vehicles damage the desert flora.
The bottom line is that there is a REAL FEAR (scroll down to "Sierra Vista leaders listening to lobbyist candidates -- take them to oblivion" and then "Kolbe hands the Fate of Ft. Huachuca and Sierra Vista over to the enviro activists") that the next BRAC will shut down Fort Huachuca and, thereby, obliterate Sierra Vista.
This situation is, in a word, intolerable. Yet, it is our own RINO representative, Jim Kolbe, that is doing all in his power to make it so.

The Border Governors' Conference, The Western Governors' Association, the Mexico-Sonora commission and many, many more bi-national groups heavily stress the need to protect environmental conditions in the border region and, as you point out, never mention the effect of one million plus illegal aliens crossing the desert in Arizona alone each year. They are all globalist thugs using their power to achieve a NAFTA, FTAA, GATT dream and spitting on their consituents and the American flag.

Well, you can certainly tell Jackalope that he's cute from behind if you want to. LOL That's just not part of my game, partner if you know what I mean?

Gov. Janet Napolitano picked the right one (Lori Faeth) if she wants to help collapse America!

Makes me sick. Another member of the "Faeth" family is on that link I posted of sponsors and contributors to the San Pedro Riparian Rip Off Plan.

I heard it was only ten minutes. Please, don't quit now. We need more fighters down on the border protecting America.

I'm hoping to get out there again soon to document the damage. Due to the nature of the terrain, everything looks fine from a short distance. But once you get away from the parking area and into the brush and trees it is flat trashed out.
Need someone along to cover my back, though -- the place is crawling with javelina. I stepped out of the truck Sunday morning and had to immediately jump into the bed of the truck when eight of the nasty little buggers busted out of the brush right behind me.
Come to think of it, that was the only wildlife I saw in the whole park. I'm wondering if the illegals spooked everything else away.

The javelina are probably rooting around in the trash!
My in-laws live in Hereford, and I worry about vagrant illegals wandering through the area they live in.
This issue is soooo frustrating!!!

This is truely a blind spot which our Spotted Owl Loving Tree-Hugging Green Pals have: Let some fellow fire up his barbecue and they go nuts with righteous indignation. On the other hand, it is apparently OK that illegal immigration has turned LA and other parts of SoCal into an overcrowded, disease-ridden hellhole where a killer smog problem is back after having been conquered in the mid-80's (well almost).
Those of you who have not been to LA lately ought to drop in. The population has doubled in the last 10 years and it looks and smells like a Spanish-Speaking cross between Cairo and Lagos.

Its actually the San Pedro Riparian Conservation Area
Let me guess, because these are floods of illegal and dangerous aliens, the lefties and pols do NOT care about the environmental damage. Correcto?
