Wasn't this guy offered several million dollars for the property? "This guy" is digging four catfish ponds for future community use. The county takes fill out for $1 per yard. They take several thousand yards out a week from his 160 acres. Do the math, if you're capable.
And no he wasn't offered "several million". TonyWojo and I visited him personally and the highest offer he received was 1.2 million. We saw the paperwork.
Any other useless, unhelpful or loaded questions?

I think this guy is just to the age to be a thorn in the strong arming govt. He is old and will be sypathized with because of his plight.
A: Maybe he is an old coot with brains willing to be a martyr for freedom...
B: Maybe he is confused by our society these days that govt is god and you shouldnt look at her wrong???
I would go A. Though, I would pack up and collect that cash and hand a large portion to a charity who believes 100% of the Bible. That would just be my poke at them for messing with me.

So he has been offered $1.2M for the property? And his child lives in squalor?
The pity party just ended.

Do the math, if you're capable. SNORK! From now on, my mental image of AppyPappy is indelibly associated with the voice of a Barbie Doll ("Math is hard...").

"Any other useless, unhelpful or loaded questions?"The article states that he was offered 5 million dollars. Why don't you read the article before laying into people.
