Btw, fishing is going to be good this year. I need that low oil prices to do lots of trolling.

To fishing guy, I would bet that you can't even tie a fishing knot or even bait a hook, I think you are a fraud, who need to return to fraud networks that love other frauds, such and the dnc.

Thank you for making your points. They are well taken. As you could see in my posts, not once did I write that I am absolutely against the coming war (although I do reserve the right to make up my own mind).

However, if we are to ask our young patriotic Americans to risk their lives to fight on some foreign soils, then the objectives need to be clear and just. I have a lot of sympathy for my friends, as I see them worrying because their children have been mobilized.

Now, if you are saying that you want to pump oil and forget about the environment. Then definitely not.

Actually, we really should leave the final decision to the people of Alaska.

To fishing-wanna-be, the Alaskan people are 100% for it. Check the stats.

Are you going to fight on some foreign soil? My son is and he has been ready since 9/11. Thanks alot for your sympathy. But we that actually have dogs in this fight would rather that it be on foreign soil than here at home. And in this day and time it just might be both simultaneously. Wake up and smell the coffee. Although my son is going to fight on foreign soil, he has stated that he is more concerned about us here at home.

You think it's the oil? I can't stop you from living in a false reality of your own creation. If you are determined to believe a lie of the left, the truth will serve no purpose. Did we liberate Kuwait for all of that Kuwaiti oil? LOL. Kuwait sells their oil on the open market, just as Iraq will do, without restrictions, once liberated. It will help THEM a whole lot more than it will help US. If we were to take off all UN restrictions on Iraq selling their oil, IT WOULD HAVE THE SAME EXACT EFFECT ON THE WORLD MARKET, so why risk thousands of American and Iraqi lives for oil that could be made equally available by the stroke of a pen? Hmmmm???

Great find, kristinn. That's my local rag, but I don't read it.

I see the P-G comrades are changing the point of the rallies. Some things never change.

Can someone please explain to me as to why we want to "liberate" Iraq? This article does not explain it.

I think it has something to do with American values like freedom, human dignity, pursuit of happiness even for the oppressed and tortured people under a tyranical maniac who rules Iraq, and also happens to be a danger to the world.

BTW, Kuwait is still run by a monarchy. We all know how they love democracy.

Maybe that has something to do with fact that Desert Storm was not a war against Kuwait or it's leaders, but against the occupying force of Saddam's Iraq.

We liberated Kuwait from Saddam, and many highways in Kuwait are still lined with billboards thanking the United States for liberating them.

I think it's the oil.

With all due respect this is mega stupid.
After liberating Kuwait FROM SADDAM's THUGS, we didn't take over a single oil well.

Nor did we take over Iraq's oil fields after we defeated them in Desert Storm.

Thanks for the ping. Time to get back into the streets. This could be bigger than all the rallies/protest we attended in 2000.

"I see the P-G comrades are changing the point of the rallies."

I'm shocked. Shocked, I tell you.

But you see, if we support the troops, that also means we want them to win. And winning would mean that we are better and that would mean that we are mean. You know what I mean? ;-)

Pulling teeth to get CNN to reveal their latest poll. Seems 60% of the American public support military action, with or without UN approval and that's substantial considering how slanted their questions are posed.
