Blix is thoroughly corrupt. The inspections process is an utter joke.

I am almost certain the French would sell Saddam parts for his fleet of UAV. After all, they sell them Mirage parts for their fighters.
After will liberate Iraq and turn N. Korea into a parking lot for Subaru, we should take out France. A well armed Girl Scout Troop should be all that's needed.

"Iraq tried to order drones and spray kits (MUST READ!)" Moral of story: Don't sell any crop-dusting planes to someone you can't trust with your life.

Not to worry. Hansi has a likely answer:
"As with the aluminum tubes, there is absolutely no evidence that Iraq planned to use these for WMD's. Rather, we are convinced that Iraq planned to use these to accomplish a quantum leap in agricultural pesticide control - using Mirage Fighter jet drones and other-purpose built dissemination UAV's."
"We should applaud the ingenuity of Iraqi scientists in their desire to advance the science of crop-dusting, by automating the aircraft and speeding up the process by a factor of ten. Now if you'll excuse me, I must verify deposits to my Swiss bank account."

Saddam will have no hesitation in using drones to spray anthax or other agents. He's gassed his own people.
Spraying Brits or Americans would pose no moral dilemma for him.

To the fury of British and American officials the disclosure was buried deep in his 173-page report and not mentioned in an oral presentation to foreign ministers.Heaven forbid that Blix would tell the world about this. /sarcasm
I'm with my students: the heck with the U.N., let's just get it on & get it over with.

Good Lord, this just proves the incompetance of the Inspectors, and those who support the...(France, Russia, Germany...etc).
For about the 100th time in about a month, it is time to say to hell with the UN, and lets go.

Blix has downplayed all of the serious non-compliance issues and given the benefit of the doubt to Hussein in each report. But this oversight of the drone, and not orally stating it Friday, is no accident but intentionally keeping facts from the U.S. and Great Britain which we are entitled to.
Time to expose Blix for what he is, a total appeaser in bed with Saddam, the French, and Germans.

I used to think Blix was merely incompetent. Now I believe he is completely EVIL. Why on earth would he bury a report like this and then give lip service that the French etc. could use to mislead the world. The man belongs in jail.

" To the fury of British and American officials the disclosure was buried deep in his 173-page report and not mentioned in an oral presentation to foreign ministers. The plane is being studied by inspectors to determine whether it can exceed the authorised range of 92 miles. "It's time to saddle up and go get Saddam. Every day the threat gets more serious. We better take him down before he uses these weapons, not after. Please, President Bush, act!

[SADDAM HUSSEIN has been trying to acquire a fleet of 300 drones equipped with spraying devices capable of delivering chemical and biological weapons, it was revealed last week.]
But... This can't be true! Saddam must be using these machines to spray harmless insecticide on his many far-flung palaces. He sadi he had no banned materials.
What a charade. Let's Roll Already!

A good and thoroughly plausible report, unlike typical Sunday lead stories in some of the other London papers. MadIvan can correct me if I am wrong, but I think the Times of London is getting better in recent years.
Then again, getting on my asbestos suit, I also think that of the Washington Post.
