According to the peaceniks it is...

But there is no reason to believe US interests should be limited merely to economics.

But I would sooner support a war to protect economic interests than to fight:

1. A "war on terrorism". If the President were serious about the "War on Terrorism", he would do something about the sieve-like southern border, instead of offering amnesty to illegal aliens. I also am convinced that by backing Saddam into a corner, he will only launch his WMD at American troops or Israel.

2. A war to get rid of a madman. Primaruly because there worse madmen out there with a lot more capability and inclination to hurt us (North Korea). The best way to ensure Saddam is going to hurt us is to back him into a corner (like I said above).

3. As far as a war of liberation, there are a lot of oppressed peoples in the world; are we going to go to North Korea, China, the rest of the Mid East, Africa, S America...

Nah, the only thing that makes sense to me is the war for economic reasons, and I whole heartedly support it. But I keep getting told that it is not for those reasons, and that furthermore, I am un-American for thinking it.

This whole thing has taken on the air of an Abbott and Costello routine.
