"pre-screened questions to a president that looks down at his notes while answering them."
Nonsense. He looked down at the list of reporters to call on, and may have had some key points he wanted to cover. if you seriously believe that the questions were pre-screened, what questions are the type Bush would desire. What questions are the unasked ones that Bush would have avoided?
You are being silly.

I can think of a ton. I didn't watch last night, but I did hear that no one asked about Bin Laden - is that true? That would make me a little suspicious...

Can someone enlighten me as to where this "pre-screened" thing came from? I tuned in late, only to see GWB call on a reporter and say something about the thing being "scripted," and everyone laughed. Later, while the tube was providing only background noise, I think I heard one of the talking heads mention some allegation of the press conference(s) being scripted/pre-screened.
So, what did I miss? With his "this is scripted" jibe, was GWB referencing something in yesterday's news? (I don't find a good answer to this at news.google.com.)
