I've seen the commercials that show dogs "shopping" with their owners, which I think is totally riduculous. I wouldn't shop in a place that allowed shoppers to bring their pets. The last thing I need while standing in the checkout is some dog sticking his nose in my crotch, let alone having to be on the lookout for "dog-doo" while shopping. I think Petsmart is stupid for exposing themselves to this type of liability. What happens if someone's dog bites or attacks another shopper?

Oh I think it is great. My dogs love the trip to Petsmart. It is fun to be able to take them in, and a good place to train them on how to behave in public. (Particularly for a young dog) The other shoppers never fail to look and stop and pet the dogs, it is part of the experience of being there. I have never seen anyone there who would react the way you did.

It's a pet supplies store, for crying out loud! They sell items like beds, crates, coats, collars, muzzles, etc. for which trying on for size matters. They also have a bulk treats bar, from which customers can give samples to the dog, to see which treats the dog really likes before buying a bagful. And they offer obedience classes and vaccination clinics, and have a pet adoption section in cooperation with a local shelter. This is not a reasonable place to declare an animal-free zone. People who don't want to encounter animals and the stuff that goes along with animals shouldn't go in.

my two dogs who love to go to pet smart are far better disciplined then about 90% of the brats that i see tagging along who scream ,whine and yes crap and wet through clothes. if you want an expensive evening out totally ruined just sit in the vicinity of a family of 4 to 5 brats throwing their dinner at each other whining screaming and yes filling their pants with all of the associated sounds and facial graphics oh yes dont forget the smell of fresh human feces. why dont you get a life
