Not fair. Many Hooters waitresses are very smart girls working their way through college doing the difficult and unappreciated job of waitering.

Sometimes I wish all the waitresses in America would go on strike for a week. Then all you hoity-toity people would have to cook and eat at home.

I bet you are a lousy tipper.

I worked my way through college by working at grunt-level jobs and internships in the field I was pursuing....I frankly think that's the "smartest" way to do it. I don't have a problem with waitstaff and tip well when it's deserved (last week I spotted a waitress at Old Ebbitt Grill in D.C. closely scanning wine glasses at the bar to ensure they were clean, rejected 4 before she placed the cleanest 3 on the bar for the bartender to fill with wine--I kept praying we would be seated at her station so that I could tip her well). But I have a huge problem with jobs (waitressing included)where those hired are hired based on appearance more than qualifications(whether it's based on boobs or ethnicity due to affirmative action). At Old Ebbitt Grill, the waitstaff is hired and retained based on their skills and not their gender or the size of their boobs.

I don't get it. The Hooters stewardesses (stewardi?) are all, boo hoo, covered up! Am I missing something here?
