Give it up folks! This war was doomed from the begining! BIGGEST BLUNDER FROM THE GET-GO, we should have NEVER ever gone to the UN. If W starts the war, I gurantee you that the UN will pull all punch against W. The ONE WORLD community will rise up against US! For the first time, I'm a little afraid of what these BASTARDS will do! BTW, the UN has just EMBOLDEN the anti-american sentiments here at home!! F CLYMERS!!

Rise up against us? Ha. They can get the hell out and stay out. We don't need 'em and I can't believe you'd really be afraid of what they might do. We can take them all on! Most of them are third world beggars. We are superior to all of them, arrogant....Hell yeah!

As a charter member of the UN and permanent member of the Security Council, we had a treaty obligation to take the matter to the UN.
Bush has stated that we are not bound by the UN's decision if it means a threat to the US -- which Iraq presents.
The question is whether the possibility of pissy responses from the UN (which I don't think will happen) outweighs the threat posed by not dealing with Iraq. For certain, the UN cannot do anything to us.
It does not. We have a duty to deal with Iraq, regardless of France's whining.
