President Bush said yesterday that he would pursue "the last phase of diplomacy" to persuade a skittish U.N. Security Council to help disarm Saddam Hussein, but vowed to act without its approval, declaring that "when it comes to our security, we really don't need anybody's permission."

Now please tell me, is that the same as Bush saying, "I am ready to go it alone?"

I was watching the morning local news and they said, "Bush said last night that he was ready to go it alone." I called them and said "Bush did not say that. Show me in the transcript where he said that." We argued back and forth. The guy said, "You are parsing." I said I wasn't and that he had many countries supporting him. The guy said "Yeah, Britain." yada yada..........then he said "Well he did say he didn't need anyone's approval." I said, "Yes he did. So say that instead of the Democrat talking points." etc....

I must give them credit, they changed it to "Bush said he didn't need anyone's approval..."

So it seems like they changed it as a result of your call, didn't they? Good job!
