Fierce criticism of France from Dutch Foreign Minister
Radio Netherlands ^ | March 06 2003

Posted on 03/06/2003 12:42:01 PM PST by knighthawk

Dutch Foreign Affairs Minister Jaap de Hoop Scheffer has again fiercely criticised the French position on the question of Iraq. He said the French could destroy the United Nations if they use their veto against a new Anglo-American resolution. The minister added that he could not imagine France would actually use its veto, although he fears it could be a close thing.

The Dutch cabinet backs the British plan for a modified UN resolution grating Iraq a little more time to disarm.

On Wednesday, Mr De Hoop Scheffer said he was "exceptionally disappointed" by the decision on the part of France, Germany and Russia not to support a new resolution on Iraq.

It's always good to find out who's smart and who isn't and who can be counted on in crunch time and who can't.

Thanks for the good news ping!

As we approach the time of reckoning, we learn who are our allies and the good people in the world.

Those in bed with Saddam and the other Islamofacist Thugs are showing that they are not with us and wish us more 9/11's.

If Chirac wants to see France out on a limb in Europe he'll veto. He's a stupid man if he does.

So where do we send our THANK YOU notes? I am not sure Chiraq would be doing this if he knew how much we appreciate his help in destroying the UN. Go, Chiraq, Go!!

I saw this earlier. I'm actually starting to get a warm fuzzy for the impending doom that is coming the UN's way, aren't you?

Especially if the 2nd resolution is wording such that all it states is that Iraq is not in compliance with 1441. If it is, and I think it is, then how can such a resolution be voted down, let alone vetoed AND have the UNSC come out of such a vote with any relevancy left in the world?
