I'm not a Middle East policy expert by any means, but can a western-style democracy succeed in a country where religion trumps government everytime? Are there other options as to what Iraq's government should resemble? Shouldn't a government be installed that has the best chance to succeed and stabilize the area, whether it is a "democracy" or not?
