Ruthie, I've read this whole thread and I have a feeling I'm going to share with you...

She's hiding. IF she left home in a huff, she's probably hiding somewhere with a couple of her friends in on it. She has to eat and she needs a safe place to sleep. She could be under someone's bed, hidden in a closet, a close-by vacant house, etc.

Her best friend should be dogged like a hawk. If she has a current boyfriend, he should be dogged.

I think she's safe. She's now embarrassed, but safe. She sounds pretty street-wise so she'd probably not go with a stranger. Just a hunch, I know. But if she was my child, I'd be dogging her friends.

I hope you don't mind me saying all this. I just feel it so strongly! I'd split the family up and have different members following her closest friends. If I'm right, they'll be carrying food, cigs, blankets, pillow, etc to her so she can stay undercover.
