I am praying hard for her safe return.

I will keep my eyes open for her in the Tallahassee area, and I'm emailing the pictures and info to some of my husband's co-workers who are in Daytona.

Have the cell co "ping" the phone and triangulate the location. You may have to get the police or a court order to do this.

After the call last night, Allen went crazy calling the police and cell phone company to get this done. The police say they cannot trace the cell phone, wich we understand, put at least the quadrant can be located, right?

The cell phone company was more helpful, and they will be constantly checking for calls made on the phone and reporting back to her parents.

Sometimes I wish we could track cell phones!

We can. Cell phones "register" when they are on and that info (Cell tower, sector) is logged. If the phone is still on anywhere in the country within the cellular network, it can be tracked. Trouble is, court orders are needed to accomplish this.

THEY CAN TRACE ANY CALL THEY WANT TO!!!!

THat is how they track down drug dealers/and terrorists!

They can triangulete a cell call for 911 location to send help!

Since the owner of the phone is more than willing to permit this they shouldn't need police or a court order. IMHO the court order would only come into play when you are attempting to locate an adult whom may not want to be found.

She is on my prayer list.
