Re the Vatican, Hitler and American media (the left): -

When it was popular to slam the Church, the media led the charge against Pope PiusXII, for his appeasement of Hitler. Now that they can make the words of today's Pope fit their anti-Bush, anti-American perspective, they are praising appeasement.

Thank God President Bush has a clear understanding of his own job description -

the defense of this country.
