Nothing in the constitution (the Law of the Land) allows a state to secede.

Wrong. Read the 10th Amendment. That which was not delegated to the federal government, nor prohibited to the states, remains with the states. If you disagree, please cite section and clause of either case.

The actions of the States which tried were all illegal.

Wrong. The Full Faith & Credit clause requires the federal government to recognize state acts.

Even the idiot leaders of the Cornfederacy knew this and included the right to secede in their "Constitution."

LOL - they did? Please cite section and clause, and which crystal ball you're using, because I've never seen it in the Confederate Constitution

The dumbasses in New England who wanted to use Burr to secede were just as wrong.

Your opinion. No one waged war on them to prevent any of their threatened secessions, or told them they couldn't secede.

Secession was a bad, illegal concept in 1800, 1861 and forever more.

Nonsense. The mere threat of secession could in many cases rein in the federal juggernaut.

I never justshutupandtakeit when falsehoods are being dispensed.

Neither do I, as you can tell. And I don't even wear a cape.

Nothing in the 10th amendment has anything to do with the concept of secession. It was never mentioned in the Articles of Confederation, the Constitutional Convention (not a word) or the Constitution itself nor was there a mention during the discussion of amendments in Congress. No reference to secession can be shown in any discussion of the 10th amendment during the process of amendment by the states.

So in order to believe 4CJ's contention we have to believe that the founders forgot to mention what the 10th really meant. We have to believe that all the talk of perpetual Union and creating a more perfect Union was blather or lies. We have to suspend logic and look in the penumbras of the constitution for support for the contention that the document had a Trojan Horse built in which would destroy it.

You must support Roe v. Wade since it uses the same exact logic you do to support this "right" to destroy the Union though it is NOWHERE stated.

Full Faith and Credit has nothing to do with unconstitutional acts.

You are right there is no such right in the CSA constitution. I don't know where I got that idea. However, this shows that the leaders where smarter than I thought since they didn't include such a bomb in their constitution which could blow up their "nation."

Just ask Andy Jackson how he would have acted to the threat of secession. Mere nullification was enough to have him ready to kick some South Carolina ass into the Atlantic. You would have seen some real brutality had those clowns tried to secede when HE was president. Lincoln was much less aggressive and much more humane than Ole Hickory.
