Call me a Cynic, but do you think that the fact that it is Ash Wednesday, might have something to do with it.....

If you're suggesting that people are in the habit of using Ash Wednesday as a holiday, it is not a holiday for Catholics at least. We go to mass and go to work / school.

Many observant people will take the day and fast, or, attend a Noontime Mass.....




I am only saying that it seems to me, a cynical attempt to use an existing condition to bolster the numbers.


After all, they could have used Thursday.
