Thank you. I'm thinking that Chrissie should listen to Rush and maybe she won't have such a loser attitude?

If you'd ever seen the woman up close, you'd beg for her to wear a burqa. I hate to get petty and superficial, but the woman is hideous, as in she'd be really ugly if she were a guy. Her make up is so thick you could scrape it off with a spoon... she is scary looking. As what is outside reflects the inside.
Um... I don't think I want to look like her at whatever age.

Oh, and my wife tried to get out and walk home when we stopped at the next light... ;-) LOL...classic. I was in 7th grade when Free For All was released (1976), and in retrospect I think it's probably one of the better rock albums of the late 70's.....a time when the genre was on the wane a bit. "Dog Eat Dog", "Hammerdown," ....many good tunes.

Exactly. Rush pulling the bumper will be exactly what Prissy will want. I'm sure it annoys her to no end.

I have no doubt the EIB network has the permission of the publisher to use the track.
As for those calling for this ditty to be dropped by Limbaugh because Hynde is an idiot, never lose sight of the fact that its a great four-bar blues riff that is as enjoyable as it is now identifiable with the Great One.
And it drives that bitch crazy that he legally uses it.

Never heard of he, she or it before. Probably his, her or its political opinions will not influence me. Actually, it needs to be proven to me that the person featured in this protest really exists. He, she or it does not palpably exist in my town.

If I was superficial, I'd say...
If MacKenzie Phillips and Patti Smith had a kid together, it would look like Chrissie Hynde. ;-)

What did Ray Davies of The Kinks and Jim Kerr of Simple Minds ever see in this trash broad ?A mouth that would put Monica to shame.

("Bring it on! Give us what we deserve!") Be careful what you wish for, Chrissie - I doubt if a band of triumphant Mohammedans would much approve of your lifestyle. In their eyes, you'd be a truly degenerate infidel.
Mind if I come to the soccer stadium to watch them carry out the kind of "justice" Allah surely has in mind for you?

"I have no doubt the EIB network has the permission of the publisher to use the track."
They don't need permission any more than your local DJ needs permission to play a Michael Jackson song. They just pay the stardard ASCAP/BMI roaylty, and be done with it. No problem.
Rush will never drop the song, which is like a multi-million dollar trademark. Generations from now, The Pretenders will be remembered only as the folks who played the Rush theme song. Like Rossini is best remembered as the guy who wrote the "Lone Ranger" theme. (And The Pretenders are no Rossini.)

Sounds like a plea for an assisted suicide? Anyone know if that is legal in any of the 50 states. I think I might be willing to help if it is all legal and on the up and up.

WHOA! After seeing that I have
A NOTE TO ALL FREEPERS:There are some threads that seem to require obligatory pics...I understand the pics of Coulter, Fox babes, etc....however...PICTURES OF Chrissy Hynde ARE DEFINITELY NOT REQUIRED ON THIS OR ANY OTHER THREAD. In fact, I beg you, please don't do that to us again. I'm not sure I'll recover.

If she wants to know what it would be like to live in a dictatorship, I'm sure Saddam could oblige. Buh Bye Chrissy.

"They just pay the stardard ASCAP/BMI roaylty, and be done with it. No problem."And that's what I meant: EIB is in compliance with whatever existing requirements are needed to broadcast the song.

A third-rate "talent"; a real has been. Hynde always was grossly overrated. I'm a longtime musician, too.

Chrissie, Chrissie, Chrissie --- you have a fabulous voice ---just use it for singing....
I just adore the sound of this woman's singing voice --- why does she have to be such an a$$hole??
Please SHUT UP!
